Monte Froehlich, CEO

A native Nebraskan, Monte graduated from the University of Nebraska in Lincoln with a BS in Food Science and an MBA with Finance concentration. Monte has over 25 years of commercial real estate experience, but has also worked in a variety of disciplines, including Gillette Dairy, Meadow Gold Dairy, MDS Pharma Services, and Nashua Corporation. He has also taught math and finance courses at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln.  In 1995, Monte turned a hobby of real estate investment into his current profession of commercial real estate ownership, development, and management.  His super-human talent is driving in reverse at a high rate of speed.

Lisa Froehlich, Owner

Lisa was raised in Omaha, NE and attended the University of Nebraska, Lincoln where she earned her degree in Elementary Education.  Lisa is very active in the Lincoln community having served or is currently serving for Junior League, Friends of Lied Board, Downtown Lincoln Association, Rotary, just to name a few.  When not volunteering, Lisa spends all the time she can with her kids and grandkids.  Lisa’s super-human talent is her ability to host one or fifty people with little to no notice…and no stress!

Jessica Lindersmith, Director of Real Estate

Jessica graduated from the University of Nebraska, Lincoln with a degree in Interior Design.  She came to U.S. Property in August 2009 as an Administrative Assistant and will take on any new challenge she’s given.  She’s in her “sweet spot” when she’s designing and managing projects. Outside of our walls, Jessica is busy raising four boys with her husband so there is rarely any down time!  Her super-human talent is her moth-like hearing!

Cynthia Avila, Residential Property Manager

Cynthia graduated from Doane University with a degree in Organizational Communication.  Cynthia came to U.S. Property in May 2020 with three years of residential management experience and a great deal of interpersonal skills.  As a mom of three, Cynthia loves spending her personal time with family!  Her super-human talent is that she is bilingual!

Carrie Addleman, Office Manager

Carrie came to U.S. Property in March 2020 with 15 years of experience in the office solutions industry. Her commitment to her customers and great service has been evident in her work with us.  Carrie has an innate ability to take on new challenges with an abundance of patience.  Outside of the office she is busy being a mom and is an avid animal lover.  Carrie’s super human talent is that she likes to craft weird pizzas and will put anything on them!

Alex Rebel, Assistant Property Manager

Alex came to U.S. Property in December 2022 and recently moved to Lincoln, Nebraska from Tampa Bay, Florida. In Florida, she studied Chemistry at St. Petersburg College and worked in the Hospitality & Tourism industry as a Marketing Director and Reservationist. Outside of work, she enjoys renovating her new home, playing with her two dogs and spending quality time with her daughter. Her super-human talent is always having a thirst for knowledge.

Ashley Tyler, Accounting Manager

Ashley grew up in Omaha and moved to Lincoln to attend the University of Nebraska–Lincoln and received a degree in Accounting and Finance. What started as a college decision quickly turned into a love for the city, and she’s been here since. Outside the office, Ashley likes to play tennis or work on a house project. Her super-human talent is making a great latte every morning.

Maddie Miller, Senior Accountant

Maddie calls Hastings her hometown and is a recent graduate of Nebraska Wesleyan University with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting.  Driven to succeed in academics, she completed her bachelor of science in less than four years and plans to continue her education by pursuing her master’s.   In her free time, she enjoys playing and coaching sports – sand volleyball is her favorite.  Other hobbies include spending time with family and friends, DIY projects and crafts, shopping, traveling, and doing anything outdoors.  Maddie’s super-human talent is eating peanut butter and jelly sandwiches every day!

Berkley Halstenson, Accounting Intern

Berkley is from Sioux Falls, SD and attended high school at Harrisburg High School outside of city limits. During that time, she took a personal finance class which sparked her interest in accounting and finance. Throughout high school Berkley played almost every possible sport. This evolved her love for being active and enjoying the outdoors. She is currently a Senior at UNL, double majoring in investment finance and accounting. She plans to pursue her CPA in grad school after completing her undergrad. Berkley’s super-human talent would be that she can eat a wingstop boneless meal deal by herself.

Rob Otte, General Counsel

Born in Colorado, Rob grew up in Norfolk, NE, came to Lincoln after high school, attended the University of Nebraska at Lincoln, and graduated from the Business College before going to Law school in Lincoln. Rob practiced law in Lincoln for more than 25 years generally in the business, transactional, estate planning, and entity formation disciplines. He taught franchising as an Adjunct Professor through the UNL Business College. In 2008 Rob was appointed as a State District Judge for the Third Judicial District. He retired from that position in 2022 for an opportunity to be General Counsel at US Property. Rob is Chair of the House of Delegates of the Nebraska State Bar Association, on the Presidential Search Committee for the University of Nebraska, and on the Charter Review Commission for the City of Lincoln. Rob is married, has 3 children and 8 grandchildren. His superhuman talent is to know a little bit about everything.

David Clausen, Associate General Counsel

A Californian by birth, but Nebraskan by choice, David graduated from the University of Nebraska Lincoln (UNL) the first time with a BA in History and Political Science. He followed that up by going to law school at UNL and getting a Juris Doctor degree in 2011. David spent over 10 years working in Research Administration for UNL and Stanford and came to U.S. Property in September 2022. When he’s not busy pouring over purchase agreements or estoppel certificates, David is probably attending one of his sons’ sporting events, catching up on the latest Star Wars spinoff on Disney+, jamming out to yacht rock or lamenting the Huskers/Chargers/Padres futility.  He might also be walking his dogs and trying to finish up an audiobook. David’s super human talent is putting the USB in the right way on the first try.

Dave Mischnick, Maintenance Lead

Dave is a Lincoln Native. He attended DeVry University for Business Management.  Dave has 18 years of Maintenance experience. He’s a culinary enthusiast, and dedicated softball coach for his daughter’s team. He’s proud to say that she’s on her way to playing at a collegiate level!  He is a future home builder.  Family and friends are most important to Dave. He is committed to guiding others towards success in life and career.  Superpower or fun fact: Dave loves to bring humor and positivity to the workplace.

Nick Mayfield, Maintenance Technician

Nick comes with a strong foundation in hands-on problem solving and a passion for craftsmanship, with 25 years of experience as an auto mechanic in both dealership and independent shop settings. He holds an Associate’s Degree of Applied Science from Southeast Community College – Milford Campus. Nick’s interests span the outdoors, exploring, coin and antique collecting, woodworking, architecture, and visiting historical places. He is driven by a desire to help others and maintain a positive, optimistic outlook even in the face of challenges. Known for his ability to fix what’s broken and see tasks through to completion, his “superpowers” lie in determination and practical skill. Nick lives by the motto: “Do what you can to help others and always aim to leave things better than you found them.”
